It was a huge mistake to not buy this years ago. Seriously even higher priced, “premium” seat protectors and extenders don’t even come close to the quality and the durability of this backseat extender/protector. My dog loves the freedom of having her own entire row that doesn’t cramp her style. It can easily be changed to allow a human or two to still have seats in the back and she still has her own space for her. It’s a little bit big for a 2025 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon X in the sides, but that’s easily resolved by using the side straps. It fits almost perfectly in a 2025 Ford Explorer ST. Larger vehicles like a F-150 or larger fit perfectly. I am honestly going to buy at least one more just so I can keep them in my cars, they fold up into a bag that fits just fine in behind the backseat or truck bed, not that I prefer human passengers, but at least I still have the capability.
I travel a lot for work and I have a Service Dog, I had tried many ways to make sure she was comfortable in the backseat. Nothing really seemed to work right, it would slide off, or she’d slide everywhere and she always seemed cramped (she’s a larger dog with fluffy feet so she slides on leather easy) But! When I found this product on TikTok it seemed almost too perfect to be true! I finally bit the bullet and ordered the cover and the mat. I could not be happier!! She has much more space and the mat doesn’t slide around or bunch up, the floor of the cover is very stable. I would definitely recommend this product! The Clasps are metal and seem very strong, the straps themselves seem plenty strong.
I recently purchased the leather back seat extender with door protectors to use in my SUV. We liked it so much I ordered a second for my husband’s 3/4 ton pickup (has a back seat). It is a terrific way to keep your dog in the back safe and secure and not climbing all over the place. My dog loves it too! I’d recommend the door protectors if your dog tends to climb at the doors as well. Keeps him from scratching them.
Just like advertised-so much sturdier than others we have purchased in the past. Metal parts instead of plastic and the shipping was so fast! I’m going to buy one for my car also.
I bought this to replace the plastic cover that ripped due to the weight of my boxer when he would stand near the front of the back set, where there isn’t any support. This product is very strong and easy to install. We plan to take both our boxers with us on our next vacation, that is a 6 hour drive, and I believe this will be very comfortable for both of them. I really like the mesh section in the middle front of the cover. I chose this product specifically since the car we will be taking on vacation is a Ford Edge and the air conditioning vent for the backseat is exactly where the mesh is located. The pictures I’m submitting for this review are for a Nissan Murano that we use for around town trips. We do take our boxer for training once a week and he seems comfortable laying down during the short car ride. I would definitely recommend this product based on the quality and excellent cost.
